Puss N Boots Art Doll~OOAK~SOLD

Our group of doll artists in Maida Doll group challenged ourselves to make a storybook doll to send to Prims Magazine last Spring.  I made this doll “Puss N Boots” and he was featured in the Autumn issue of Prims Magazine!

He has now returned home after his long journey and ready to be displayed in someone else’s home.  :o)

This is a One of a Kind Cat with a pattern that I designed.  He will come to you signed and dated.  He was made of muslin fabric, painted with acrylic paints and stained to give him a primitive look.  His tail has a wire that was inserted in the making process, allowing him to stand alone.  He wears a black hat and painted boots and cape. These were sanded down a bit to give it some age.   I added a watch wristband for his buckle and made him a small sack to put his rabbit in.  ;o)

He measures 13 inches tall.  :o)

He's amazing. You have such a wonderful talent. Made of cloth yet he looks like you sculpted him from paperclay. Wonderful! Congrats on your publication too!

Thanks Bethann. He sure was fun to create. I guess the layers of paint and varnish do create a paperclay effect.
