Primitive ASL Raggedy Ann doll~OOAK~SOLD


American Sign Language Raggedy Ann is a one of a kind doll and was handmade using best quality fabrics. She was made of muslin fabric and has a round head. Raggedy Ann was coffee stained and baked to give her a good ole prim look. The pictures don’t do it justice. She has painted facial features and painted stockings and shoes. She has individual wired fingers with painted fingernails too! One arm is bent slightly so that she can make a few of her signs. Her head is filled with red fun yarn that was stitched to her head one strand at a time. Raggedy Ann wears a dress with tan background and small flowers for the print. She has now moved to WA. :o)

Folk Art Angel~Hope~ OOAK Mixed Media Painting~SOLD



This was an old shudder door which I removed the inside from and added a ¼ inch plywood. The textured background was painted in acrylics with various colors and designs. I then painted a sweet folk art angel named "Hope." She wears a ¼ inch thick polymer clay dress which has a small metal embellishment that says "Hope". The dress has lots of texture and embellishments, sprinkled lightly with glitter. The frame was painted barn red and crackled. The whole piece measures 26 x 9 x ¾ inch thick. Lots of detail to this One of a Kind Mixed Media Art. Will now be hanging in CA.

Primitive Witch Cook with Cookbook~OOAK~SOLD



Meet Sabrina.....she was made of muslin fabric with cotton lycra skin overlay on the face so that there isn’t any center seam. She was coffee stained and baked to give her a good ole prim look. The pictures don’t do it justice. Sabrina has cloth upper body and an open book with her favorite kitchen photo of a black cat, horn of plenty and her cauldron on the stove as the lower part of her body. She stands on an 8” round wooden base which was painted black with white spider webs. Sabrina has beautiful, acrylic green eyes and painted mouth. She has long, individual wired fingers with 3-D black fingernails and facial features that were carefully sculptured. Her arms are bent slightly so that she can hold her dress back to show her book of recipes for all seasons. She will be living in CA. :o)

Little Red Riding Hood~Wolf~Art Doll~Split Personality~SOLD



I enjoyed making this One of a Kind Split Personality Art Doll!!!! On the Little red riding hood side, she has blue acrylic eyes and painted facial features. Sheeps wool was felted securely to her head to give her nice long curls. Her dress was made using various print reds with hooded cape to match. She has black pearl beads for a bracelet, red stockings and black leather-look shoe. Her pantaloons are white. She has wired fingers and holds her little basket which she was bringing to Grandmas house.

On the wolf side, she has blue acrylic eyes, bushy eyebrow and painted facial features. Her hair is short, brown fun fur. She has long, individual wired fingers with 3-D black fingernails with a bit of fun fur on her arm. Her cap belonged to grandma and has a wolf ear sticking out from the top side of her cap. Her nightgown was made with flannel fabric with a fun fur trim and fun fur tail coming out from the back of her gown. Her stockings are white with fun fur around the top. She has a black leather-look boot too! :o)
She has now moved to CA. :o)

Primitive Folk Art Love Spell Witch Doll~OOAK~SOLD


This is my newest creation. :o) She was made of muslin fabric with cotton lycra skin overlay on the face so that there isn’t any center seam. She was coffee stained and baked to give her a good ole prim look. The pictures don’t do it justice. Glenda has cloth upper body and an open book with her favorite love spell as the lower part of her body. The love spell recipe includes all items needed and instructions for the spell. :o) She stands on an 8” round wooden base which was painted black with gold stars. Glenda has one brown acrylic eye, a clear greenish eye and painted mouth. She has long, individual wired fingers with 3-D black fingernails and facial features that were carefully sculptured. This little witch has now moved to NV. :o)

Well, this will be my last doll for the next couple of weeks. Will be gone visiting my daughter! :o) Will have plenty more pictures to share of other dolls when I return. Primitive Melting Witch Cloth Art Doll~OOAK~SOLD



Esmeralda has brown acrylic eyes and painted mouth. She is SHOCKED to feel herself melting away! Esmeralda tried to put a spell on someone and it backfired on her! Poor, poor Esmeralda. She has long, individual wired fingers with 3-D black fingernails and facial features that were carefully sculptured. One arm is bent so that she can hold herself slightly before falling over as her hip is slowly melting away. The other arm is close to her face with disbelief of what is happening to her body. The hips have melted away but the legs are still in tack with her boots curling up ever so slowly. She has now moved to NE.

Finally completed my witch doll that I had shown in progress. She was coffee stained and dressed in browns with lots of coffee stained cheesecloth for outfit accents. Her name is Wanda and she carries her fibre optic witch wand. Lots of attention to detail in her facial soft sculpture to wired fingers. She has now moved to IL. :o)

Michael Jackson and witch doll in progress



Ahhhhh.....I've taken a break from doll making and have been enjoying what little summer we have left....but, I do have two dolls in the making. I'm trying to make more character dolls and continue with my witches. In progress are Michael Jackson and a witch. Both are made of muslin fabric. Lots of detail with wired fingers, soft sculptured facial features and acrylic eyes. Hope to get them done within the next couple of weeks. :o)

The works in progress mammy doll turned out to be a black folk art quilter doll. She turned out beautiful if I must say so myself. :o) I used a cotton lycra skin over the muslin fabric for her face which eliminated the center seam. Love the way she turned out.

Blog Giveaway! 4 x 6 Encaustic Art



Guess it's about time I have a blog giveaway. This is how is goes......I have this doll which is a work in progress piece. She isn't wearing the outfit planned for her.... I just draped some lace to see how she was coming along. :o) The first person to guess who she is and post it in a comment, will receive this awesome 4 x 6 encaustic painting that I made. Fantasy Morbid Parlor Witch Doll~OOAK art doll~SOLD



This witch bride and late hubby are handmade using only top-quality materials. This is a one of a kind, torso doll measuring 14 inches tall. She was attached to a flat, round base so that she won’t topple over. Faces are hand sculpted and painted with acrylics then sealed with an acrylic matt spray sealer to lock in colors. Hair is made of sheep’s wool and was felted securely to the heads. Various materials were used for Melusine's wedding gown. Handmade black cotton dress with maroon, satin lace-up front. The dress waist has a ruffled skirt with puffed upper sleeves. The gloves are black fishnet and her veil is black tulle with black satin train. They have now moved to VA.

I designed and created this sweet, primitive old hag witch named Haggatha. :o)

She was made of muslin fabric, coffee stained and has painted features which were done with acrylic paints. She has a soft sculptured face and individual, wired fingers with black 3-D fingernails. Her hair is gray sheeps wool felted securely into her scalp. Haggatha measures 30 inches tall and is ready to make some spooky desserts with the worms she carries in her cauldron. Lots of attention to detail. Cape, dress, panaloons and boots are all removable. She now lives in VA.

Primitive Witch Legend doll~OOAK~SOLD



Someone emailed me and told me about the witch legend which I thought was very interesting so I asked her if I could use her description for my next witch. Thanks Gerri!
The women of olde (witches who were burned, not in this country) were battered and bruised, teeth knocked out, dragged by wagons and were unrecognizable. They were so sick they were a shade of green. Well, this gal is a shade of green, teeth missing and a bit bruised. She is still recognizable though. :o) I made her using muslin fabric, coffee stained her and added a touch of light green color to her skin tone. Lots of attention to detail in her soft sculptured facial features. She has now moved to CT.:o)
